Saturday 10 April

The Society's Annual General Meeting, to be held in Seminar Room West at Mansfield College, Mansfield Road, Oxford OX1 3TF, commencing at 2pm. (click on the postcode for a street map showing the location)

A three-course lunch is available at the College at 12.30 pm at a cost of Ł20 per person. A booking form will shortly be available.

The AGM will be followed by a talk by Adrian Tinniswood entitled The Verneys - A True Story of Love, War and Madness in 17th-Century England.

Sunday 6 June

A battlefield walk of Chalgrove Field by the Battlefield Trust's custodians Derek and Gill Lester.

Starting from Hampden's Monument (Grid ref SU 646972) at 10.30 am. (see the brown signs for 'Chalgrove Battlefield' off the B480 at Chalgrove)

Retiring after the walk to The Red Lion, Chalgrove, for refreshment.

Saturday 26 June

The Society's Annual Dinner.

Sunday ? October

A visit to the Chiltern Brewery, near Aylesbury, for lunch and the launch of a Civil War book detailing the exploits of John Hampden.
