11am, June 22nd at Great Hampden Church – memorial service for John Hampden

This would be a good opportunity to see the newly refurbished interior of the church and the stained glass image of the Patriot in the west window. As most members John Hampden Society know he is buried beneath the floor of the church but no one is exactly sure where.

Vicar Deiniol Hewood has held several of these services over the years and they have always been well attended by members of the Society and the church’s own congregation.

This will be Deiniol’s last such service.

His final service  as Vicar will be on Sunday 20th July, the Feast of Mary Magdalene, in Great Hampden at 11.15 am.
