Buckinghamshire’s 2026 One-Day Conference and Local History Fair will be at a new venue – the National film and Television School in Beaconsfield, and one week earlier than usual, on Saturday 26th September. This year’s theme is:
Political change in Buckinghamshire – from civil war to the suffragettes. The talks and speakers will be:
- The English Civil War in Buckinghamshire – Ian Beckett
- Opposing the county’s Rotten Boroughs – Julian Hunt
- Bribery and corruption at the 1802 Aylesbury election – Tony Sergeant
- The untold story of the Great Pilgrimage and votes for women – Jane Robinson.
